Oh the irony of this week's theme...

Teaching Tuesday

Can you teach us something that's somehow relevant to this week's theme? Maybe a link to something useful, or even writing up a small tutorial.

What have you done this week? This needn't be relevant to this week's theme. Just let us know what you're up to.

I've started getting deep into SmileBASIC again, now that I have my Switch 2 and don't have to keep "borrowing Mum's Tetris Machine"
Framework is currently drawing sprites, particles, and doing bitmap fonty things. Nice!

Throwback Thursday

Tell us a story of something old, that's somehow relevant to this week's theme. Maybe even include a picture?

The last time I saw my Amstrad CPC powered up in its complete form, the monitor was glitching like fuck.. Frazzling, fritzing and more.

MagicBane/Devlin came and took my CPC away just before the house move, mostly because I couldn't figure out where the heck the 14" CRT monitor was going to go.
He'd had a 6128 in his childhood, but .. We're not young anymore, and he lost track of it at some point or another.
He's an avid CPC collector, but never quite seemed to be able to find a replacement 6128.
Once I heard this, and knowing mine had to go *somewhere*, I hit him up on the socials, and he leapt at the chance.

He got the CPC's keyboard (the heart of the system) itself up to fully functioning condition well enough, but couldn't (and/or daren't!) operate on the monitor because .. CRT's be danger!!!!
